I first began working with clay in the late 1970’s. Over the years I have attended many ‘hands on’ workshops taught by local, national and international potters. It is through these and my involvement with the Richmond Potters’ Club that my work has developed.
I make both functional and sculptural pieces, which can be wheel thrown, hand built or a combination of both. I also make slips and glazes and am always searching for combinations of colour and texture that represent the natural environment in which I live. My work varies with the seasons and with the many sources of inspiration island life provides.
